    Introduction

Welcome to Zen! We're excited you're trying out our app, and now that you've found us and are here, you're presumably looking for some pro-tips on how to make the most out of Zen. So let's dive in.

    First Steps

The first thing to do is to set up your preferences. Preferences are the core of Zen: They're what let us find jobs that are great matches for you. So before doing anything else, make sure your preferences are set up to your liking.

    Saving Jobs for Later

Next, try saving a job or two for later! You can do this from any posting, such as on the jobs page, which is where you'll find all of your matches. Once a posting is saved, you'll be able to navigate to it from the homepage, or you can find it directly by viewing all of your saved jobs.

Saving a job for later is a great way for you to keep tabs of postings you're interested in but haven't applied to yet.

    Pro Tips

Now that you've mastered the basics, let's go through a couple pro tips to help you make the most of Zen.
    1. First and foremost, saving and excluding companies is core to the value of the app. Originally, the purpose of the app was to notify job seekers when a couple of particular companies posted relevant jobs to them. This has evolved a bit over time, but the core functionality is still there: Favoriting companies allows you to not need to check the job boards of your favorite companies to be able to know when they post new jobs that are relevant to you. This means that, for instance, if you're interested in jobs at Klaviyo, you can take a breath and let us do the heavy lifting of checking their board for new jobs every day, and you can spend your time doing things you enjoy more. If Klaviyo posts a new job that matches your preferences, we'll notify you of it.
    2. Excluding companies does the same. For example, if you're not interested in jobs at Klaviyo, just exclude them. You'll never hear about another Klaviyo job again on Zen. Simple as that.
    3. Give us feedback! We're a small start up, and we'd love to hear what you love about Zen, and about what you think we should do to make the app better. You can always submit feedback to us through our feedback form.
