90% of interviews go to candidates who apply within the first 24 hours of a job being posted.

Timing is crucial according to several articles and studies I've seen.

They say that delaying your application, even for a single day, significantly diminishes your chances of getting an interview. Because while you're waiting for when you "feel like" applying or customizing your keywords, someone else isn't.

It makes sense. We've all heard that companies are flooded with applications, more than they can handle. Their HR teams are stretched thin. Even if people are only skimming resumes, there's a limit to how many can be reviewed in a day.

Most companies draw the line after a certain number of applications, review those resumes, and only look further if they haven't found good interview candidates. Getting your application in quickly is critical.

By now, you've probably seen the "LinkedIn hack" to discover jobs posted within the past hour. It's ridiculous that the most popular job search platform forces its users to jump through hoops to find what they're looking for. But that's another post.

And I'll admit, the hack could be helpful, but keep in mind it searches for when jobs were posted on LinkedIn.

    Here's the thing:

    š—Ŗš—µš—²š—» š—® š—°š—¼š—ŗš—½š—®š—»š˜† š—½š—¼š˜€š˜š˜€ š—® š—·š—¼š—Æ ≠ š˜„š—µš—²š—» š—Ÿš—¶š—»š—øš—²š—±š—œš—» š—µš—®š˜€ š˜š—µš—² š—·š—¼š—Æ

Even if you search diligently, are the jobs really new or only new to LinkedIn?

A company could post a job on its careers page and wait several days before deciding to post on LinkedIn. Even then, they could choose a free post that buries the listing and limits the number of people who can see it. That's how their free posts work.

Or they may decide to never post on LinkedIn, in which case, all the hacking in the world won't show you their jobs.

So, what's a job seeker to do? How can they find those brand new, shiny jobs? The ones that were posted today? The ones that improve your chances for success?

    ZenSearch of course!

    š—¦š—¶š—»š—°š—² š—š—²š—»š—¦š—²š—®š—暝—°š—µ š—¶š˜€ š—±š—¶š—暝—²š—°š˜š—¹š˜† š—°š—¼š—»š—»š—²š—°š˜š—²š—± š˜š—¼ š˜š—µš—² š—°š—¼š—ŗš—½š—®š—»š˜†'š˜€ š—·š—¼š—Æ š—Æš—¼š—®š—暝—±š˜€, š˜„š—² š˜€š—µš—®š—暝—² š—»š—²š˜„ š—·š—¼š—Æš˜€ š˜„š—¶š˜š—µš—¶š—» š—µš—¼š˜‚š—暝˜€ š—¼š—³ š˜„š—µš—²š—» š˜š—µš—² š—½š—¼š˜€š˜ š—¶š˜€ š—°š—暝—²š—®š˜š—²š—±!

And you don't need a hack to access them. Just filter to the last 24 hours.

All jobs are clearly marked with the post date, and whether they're new or reposted. It's right there, no hack needed.

Don't let any more time slip by.

Give yourself the advantage of seeing jobs sooner and get your resume to the top of the stack.
