Americans for Financial Reform Education Fund (AFREF) works to protect consumers from unfair financial practices and promote economic, racial, and social justice. AFREF engages in advocacy to support strong consumer financial protections and seeks to amplify the voices of those affected by financial abuses, such as predatory lending and discrimination. Through their collaboration with a coalition of over 200 organizations, including civil rights and labor groups, AFREF develops policies and strategies aimed at reforming the financial system for the benefit of all Americans. The organization played a key role in creating the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and continues to work towards a fairer economy by addressing issues that impact the financial well-being of individuals and communities.
