Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) is dedicated to protecting the rights and well-being of unaccompanied and separated children who are forcibly displaced from their homes. Since its inception in 2008, KIND has worked to ensure that every child’s rights are upheld throughout their journey to safety. The organization addresses the complex legal and mental health needs of these vulnerable children while building strong partnerships and providing training and capacity-building support to governments, NGOs, and the private sector. KIND advocates for systemic reform and pragmatic solutions to enhance the legal landscape for unaccompanied minors. With ongoing expansion into the Americas and Europe, KIND continues to leverage its extensive experience in serving this population with the goal of advancing their rights and providing a safer, more supportive environment.
