    Overview

The Global Disinformation Index (GDI) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2018 to combat the pervasive issue of online disinformation. GDI was created in response to a critical need for transparent and independent disinformation risk ratings across the open web, thereby facilitating informed decision-making for advertisers, policymakers, and civil society actors. GDI operates on three fundamental pillars: neutrality, independence, and transparency. The organization endeavors to create a safer online environment by developing cutting-edge tools and methodologies to assess the adversarial nature of content and to provide data that guides content moderation and advertising decisions. With a commitment to fostering a diverse and collaborative culture, GDI values positivity, responsibility, trust, and respect in its team dynamics. By joining GDI, employees contribute directly to meaningful efforts aimed at reducing the harmful impacts of disinformation globally.
